August Selection Box 2026 (Evington's Summer Favourites)

We've gone for a Selection Box of summer favourites this month, featuring a crisp, citrusy Grillo from Sicily, a cracking blend of Marsanne and Viognier from Southern France, a wonderful Provençal Rosé made from Grenache and Syrah, a stunning Corbières made from 60% Syrah, 20% Grenache and 20% Mourvedre, a very classy Cabernet Sauvignon from Clare Valley in Australia and a six grape blend from Alentejano in Portugal. Typical Grillo bouquet of apricot, white peach and a hint of herbs. Intense and fresh on the palate, with a pleasant minerality. Macaroni cheese is the perfect partner for this wine.

Deux Grives Marsanne Viognier, Languedoc-Roussillon, France 2025 (12.5% Vol)

A wine that expresses true harmony of varietals. Viognier lends punchy stone fruit aromas whilst the Marsanne adds refreshing acidity and liveliness. Truly mouth-watering and delicious.

Saint Sidoine, Cotes de Provence Rosé, Provence, France 2025 (13% Vol)

Clean and crisp on the nose with red fruits and a little acidity. Soft dry and elegant on the palate with an attractive strawberry and cream flavour. Lightly chilled, makes an excellent sundowner.

On the nose, lifted aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and subtle stewed plum characters, along with a hint of spicy oak. The palate is elegant and full bodied revealing flavours of blackcurrant, quince and cassis fruit, enhanced by hints of mint and capsicum characters. A beautiful complex and smooth oak finish.
