''Pacherenc du Vic-Bilh sec is one of the oldest appellations: a magical, mythical word, synonymous with respect, imperial and secrecy. "The varietal tamer and author of great wines, Alain Brumont, has created a great dry wine in Montus" (Pierre Casamayor).
Tirelessly focused on experimenting with barrels for 20 years, Château Montus sec benefits fully from these efforts: the particularity of this wine lies in its vinification and ageing in 600-litre barrels, called demi-muids, whose wood thickness exceeds 4 centimetres. The impact of the wood on the wine is reduced, with a more melted woodiness that is beneficial to the preservation of the fruity aromas, while maintaining a perfect balance, for a full-bodied and high-quality wine.''
