The originality of Clos du Vieux Morgon wine lies in rich aromas of kirsch, cherry, plum and unique spices.

Ready to drink now, but like many Morgon's this could be cellared for up to five years. Luscious in youth it will improve with time. Waiting will give this wine the ability "to Morgon" - which is to say it will achieve the Morgon personality.

The 2020 vintage has produced wines which are concentrated and harmonious between colour, body, roundness and aromas of ripe red fruits.

Once upon a time in Beaujolais an ancient family of winemakers wanted to make wines which speak of their place. The Piron family, headed by Dominique Piron, purchased the historical old church of Saint-Pierre de Corcelles and a great and rich diversity of vineyards in Morgon, Chénas and Régnié. Clos du Vieux Bourg traces it's wines from ancient history to the wines of tomorrow.

Because of its suppleness, this 100% Gamay wine goes very well with most of the world's cuisines - but it may be best when paired with grilled red meats.
