Famille Descombe ”Pierres Dorées” Beaujolais Blanc, Beaujolais, France 2022 (12.5% Vol)
This Beaujolais Blanc, grown organically and vinified without inputs, comes from a plot of Chardonnay located in the commune of Porte des Pierres Dorées. The clay-limestone soil of this southern part of Beaujolais is the preferred terroir of Chardonnay.
Soil
Clay-limestone soils.
Temperate climate with favourable sunshine, but with strong variations due to conflicts between oceanic, continental and Mediterranean influences. 100% Chardonnay.
Winemaking
Manual harvest with sorting in the vineyard and on arrival in the cellar. Pressing followed by spontaneous fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats. Aged on fine lees for 12 months.
Tasting
COLOUR: Golden yellow
NOSE: An expressive, floral nose with a hint of white fruit (apple, pear) and citrus.
PALATE: Mineral and tangy notes (green apple, citrus), this wine has a beautiful freshness and superb tension.
FOOD & WINE PAIRING: Aperitif, andouillette, vegetable curry, goat's cheese.
SERVING TEMPERATURE: 11 – 13°C
