July Selection Box 2025 (Evington's Summer Favourites)

With the warm weather in mind, we have selected six summer favourites for July's Selection Box. Aromas of fresh pear, white flowers and green apple, with jasmine, cinnamon and baked apple on the mid-palate. These generous fruit flavours are complemented by a rich, creamy, lingering finish. Made with minimal winemakers intervention and 100% natural yeast fermentation.

On the nose this wine exhibits floral and citrus aromas (lemon, grapefruit) with smoky notes. On the palate, it's fresh and very aromatic with round body/structure and a pleasant acidity (coming from the later ripening sites at higher altitude). A lot of freshness on the finish mixed with an expression of minerality.

Elegant, bright and subtle rosé with a very pale rose petal hue. Shows a fresh and fruity aromatic character with aromas of strawberry, grapefruit, citrus, and peach. On the palate: fresh, well-balanced, and smooth. Enjoy chilled as an aperitif or paired with all summer-time dishes (white meat, platter of charcuterie, salads, melon, Asian dishes, grills, etc.).

Cherry notes and a hint of tobacco on the nose, this wine is soft on the palate with smooth tannins. Beautifully structured flavours of liquorice, raspberry and a touch of minerality. A great pairing to lamb or glazed ham.

On the nose - blackberries, pepper and spice. On the palate - ripe tannins and a good balance of acidity, lead to a pleasant finish. Great BBQ wine - goes with all grilled meats.

Le Raconteur Cabernet Sauvignon, Southern France 2020/22 (13% Vol)

On the nose - black fruits and spicy notes. On the palate - flavours of elderberry, bramble, cinnamon and orange zest. Soft, round tannins provide a silky finish. Lovely with soft cheeses.
